The Roussos name is well known throughout Mobile and along the Gulf Coast region. With their restaurant locations and catering service, the family has welcomed thousands of locals and visitors with great food and friendly service.
Now that legacy of Greek flair and Southern hospitality continues with Georgia Roussos Catering. Started recently by family matriarch Zenia Roussos, the company is managed by daughter Georgia Roussos.
“We’ve already handled several major catering events,” said Georgia Roussos. “We catered the Go Daddy.com Bowl and the Senior Bowl, as well as a large industrial lunch and some receptions.”
Georgia added, “We’ve worked with many of these companies and individuals over the years and we are honored to have their business now with our new company.”
Many people were familiar with the family’s restaurant and followed them to locations on the causeway, in downtown Mobile, in Spanish Fort and finally in Daphne. The final restaurant location closed in August of 2009.
“My goal and my mother’s goal is to ensure that the reputation she and my father built over the last 54 years in the food service industry throughout the Gulf Coast continues,” Georgia said.
It’s a goal that Georgia Roussos and her catering team take seriously. They will travel up to 500 miles and serve events with 10 to 10,000 people. Event types include weddings, receptions, company banquets, holiday parties, corporate lunches and yes, even bowl games.
